This is our direct order process. Our pledge is to get the book you want – even if we don’t have it online – so we offer up to 50% off the List Price of new books we order for you that is not already something we carry.  Prices and discounts vary

SUBMIT PLEDGE REQUEST ONLINE

  1. Fill out the pledge request form (link below) to indicate what book you want. We’ll let you know the discount we can offer. 
  2. Purchase it at the discounted price and we will order and ship the book out to you! The process is quick, and you can receive your book as soon as 2 days, but depends upon when the publisher can send the book. Order almost any book!

Note: We are unable to offer this pledge on authors who are self-published, due to their publishing architecture

Whether you order a book from our regular inventory, or a title through the book promise (special order), each book order will help support our mission to help improve literacy rates. 

SUBMIT SPECIAL ORDER ONLINE

Simply find the book you’d like on our website, when on the title’s page, you will see comments for backorder.  You can place the order as you would any other in-stock order.

If ordering before the published date, it will be shipped when the title is released from the publisher.  Backordered items will also be shipped as soon as we have it in stock.  We will notify you of any updates and shipping confirmations.  If you have any questions, email us.

**If the book is not listed on our site, you can place a special order at a discount off the retail (list) price through our B&W Pledge 

SUBMIT SPECIAL ORDER REQUEST ONLINE

Due to the deep discounts we offer on most of our books, all sale purchases are final sale.  If you don’t receive an order and the carrier says it delivered, please reach out to the carrier before contacting us. We have noticed certain carriers mark items as delivered 1-2 days before it actually arrives.

Pre-order purchases can be cancelled up until 1 day before we ship it. 

Since we are a dynamic store, customers that can choose pickup will be ever changing, and will depend upon the temp stores, and pop up events we hold.

To know for sure, when you begin ordering your book, if your zip code is eligible for pickup, the option will automatically show as available.  It is best to complete your pickup order the same day as pickup options will change without notice.

Your cart will automatically update with the free shipping option once you place at least $30 of items into it.  Most stores require at least $35, and we are proud to offer $30. 

Ohio shoppers may see a different minimum available when they checkout. 

If you have coupon for free shipping, it means you are a customer with a strong relationship with us – and only need to add your free shipping code into the promo code section during checkout!

Free Same Day Delivery is also available by invitation only for our most loyal customers within the Cincinnati Area

Giveaways are announced on our social media sites a few times of the year, and are also offered to select youth determined to be disadvantaged by our partners.  If you are a non-profit or service organization that works with disadvantaged youth and would like to partner with us, please contact us through our Contacts page to setup a giveaway event

Your bookclub members will benefit from us working together – If you’re a bookclub owner or administrator interested in partnering with us, please let reach out to us via the contact page.

Ohioans of all ages and backgrounds can support our mission to improve literacy rates of children through a myriad of opportunities.  You can donate $, books, and/or your time at our various events and programs.

We definitely work with Indie authors looking to place their books on our shelves.  At the bottom of the page, sign up where you see the box for Independent Authors. Not all books are eligible for placement, but we’ll guide you through the process and make a determination.
